Festival House, Cheltenham

“With its distinctive blue façade, we wanted to identify a destination that was uniquely visible on the skyline, a landmark in Cheltenham”

Aaron Terry – Roberts Limbrick Architects Director

Situated in the expanding business district in the heart of Cheltenham, Festival House was purchased by Formal Investments in 2008.

Following a major redevelopment, Festival House now provides high specification offices for an impressive range of tenants.

Adding an extra floor to Festival House not only extended a successful commercial development in the heart of Cheltenham, but also created a new home for a prestigious international business.

One Eighty Light in conjunction with Roberts Limbrick Architects, were tasked with providing the external lighting design. The brief was to deliver a scheme that would identify Festival House as a landmark in Cheltenham. With a distinctive blue LED facade, the building is easily identified. Equally, the building needed to provide safe and secure access at night for tenants require 24-hour access. The equipment needed to be both energy efficient and low maintenance.

One Eighty Light put forward iGuzzini as the equipment supplier. Using a combination of blue and white light, iGuzzini Linealuce and iPro LED fixtures were used to light the main facade, with Ledplus, iWay bollards, and Delphi column mounting fixtures illuminating the car park areas.
