Milan Design Week

Euroluce, the International Lighting Exhibition, is the biennial trade fair that, between technology and poetry, architecture and design, is a source of inspiration par excellence, with the design dimension at its heart.

The joy of light was once again on full view in the halls of the Salone del mobile and the city of Milan. Our first stop was to Occhio to visit ‘new horizons’ at Villa Campiglio.

In a unique show of multi-sensory staging and product presentation, visitors to Milan Design Week were able to discover the future of light. With 'new horizons', Occhio created an unforgettable experience for all the senses – in the green oasis of Villa Necchi Campiglio in the heart of Milan and beyond the hustle and bustle.

On the grounds of Villa Necchi Campiglio, Occhio brought a whole new world of light from imagination to reality. From 18 to 23 April 2023, thousands of guests were able to experience a multi-sensory installation that thrilled all around.

In the spirit of a total work of art, 'new horizons' was a completely new, holistic experience of Occhio's new culture of light. At the same time the idea of 'new horizons' goes far beyond this installation. It stands for the endless drive to innovate, to always strive for the new and never stand still.

Situated in Hall 11, Brokis presented three new collections along with additions to their 2022 range of products. ‘new designers and new designs’ summed up the majority of their new collection, with Trottola, ELO, and Bamboo Forest taking centre stage. The innovative surface material Brokisglass, also featured with the new mosaic, generating a lot of interest.

When I create or select a new lamp, I cannot help thinking about where I will use it, how I will use it, and above all, why.
All my lamps, even the new ones, are part of a concrete, design dimension.
I like to think of them as small and very simple inventions that thrill and surprise.
And each time, the aim of my research is to demonstrate something new, never seen before.
These are the sentiments I used to create and select a new collection of lamps.
