SolarAid
One Eighty Light are proud to be partnering with SolarAid, supporting their work in improving the quality of people’s lives by improving the quality of their light.
578 million people in Africa alone have no access to electricity. Without electricity families have no clean source of light, leaving millions to rely on expensive and dangerous alternatives.
Many use poor lighting sources, such as homemade kerosene lamps or candles, which emit toxic smoke, can eat up to 15% of a family's income and are extremely hazardous.
SolarAid is an international charity founded in 2006 to combat poverty and climate change. Through their social enterprise, SunnyMoney, they provide access to solar lights in Malawi and Zambia by catalysing solar markets with renewable light.

“Supporting SolarAid is something we are really excited about. We know the impact quality light has on people’s lives in the work that we do, so combining that with playing our part in transforming the futures of entire families and communities as the way out of poverty aligns with our purpose”
